Marjura

StartFragment

Clusta Noba

Having nearly repaired the fleet from the damages from their landing in Clusta Noba, the leaders of the Gadda Navy begin recruiting Marjuran refugees in droves to begin work on the creation of a new flagship; The Blood Price. Promising to use the flagship to rid the world of abominations, it doesn’t take long for the refugee workers to complete the skeleton of The Blood Price. The ship is almost comically massive, and many of the refugees joke and complain that the ship will never float in the water (Mobilize). Meanwhile, the PurPurian cultist start talking to village elders and militia captains, trying to introduce them to the sayings and wisdom of their order. It does not work. A group of elite wolven rangers follow their every step, and the aggressive glare of the wolkin is enough to make most people simply slam their doors in the cultists' faces (Raise Influence Fail).

Trinsmyra

Rung

Strange Wolven howls echo in the mountains of Rung. With the lunacies of Fundibera's moon magic still fresh in people's memories, they shutter their windows and lock their doors, suspicious of weird influences (Raise Influence Fail).

Kark

Panic still rages through Kark following Fundibera’s recent coup attempt. Riots and mass hysteria have become commonplace. Worst of all, criminal elements in Kark have used the opportunity to break many of the condottier’s slaves and prisoners out of bondage. Filled with fury, hunger, and fear; the voices and actions of the people of Kark have become too enraged and cacophonous for the mass military forces of Vumbra to maintain control. They cannot pinpoint the ringleaders or properly contain the agitators, and so they begin arresting and killing seemingly indiscriminately. Blood flows through the streets, with no signs of stopping.

Gaddagormgald’s Infiltrators try their level best to take advantage of the civil unrest, aiming to remove the rebels of their leaders, one by one. But Gaddagormgald is a blunt instrument, and it shows in how poorly coordinated the Infiltrators are. The locals soon understand what is happening, and start to resist, outing the obvious outsiders every time they find them. It's almost as if the people of Kark says "this far, but no further". By the end of the two week campaign, Gaddagormgald's infiltrators have used many resources, but made no headway at all (Raise Influence Fail).

Palamux

The Islands

Stegos

Arn drills the Crystal Knights relentlessly during these weeks. They are highly competent warriors, but maybe not necessarily disciplined soldiers, and they certainly lack battlefield experience. Arn's dragon, however, can quickly get them alert and on their toes (Mobilize).

Kargom

Fokale Plains

In the middle of the night, a conclave of Hueli wisemen met with a powerful Trakorian sorcerer- their statue of the hero Loemja had fallen, a prophecy has been fulfilled, new stars are visible in the sky- what can all this mean? What exactly was said in the holy dwellings is unknown, but the backlash against Folda's influence was unambigious. The Hueli tribesmen have radicalized. Ancient taboos about the dead and the undead are talked about, Folda's name is interwinned with an older, much crueler name... Shagul. By the time the meeting is over, a new group of Shamen has taken over control of the tribes, casting out those that reigned before them as heretics (Raise influence Success).

Nastrôl

Folda's Salt traders launch a new product: salt as a treatment for various illnesses and wounds. It sells surprisingly well (Mobilize).

Moskoria

Cannibal pirates raid up and down the coastline, terrorizing any village that does not yield tribute. Many do (Raise Influence Success).

Lasemos-Bhannavil

While the Magilran army stalls for lack of orders from the Kishat, the Kargomites storm down from the Wheeping mountains, led by their symbolist shamen. With a week, the entire region is on fire and under the occupation of the Kargomite tribes (Raise Influence Success).

The Kishat

Myxa

No news.

Ziddisbar

By the middle of the month, the trade network has expanded so aggressively, by bribing local power holders, that the Merchant house practically has a rock solid hold over the province (Raise Influence Success).

Paratorna

Ilibauria

With the end of the Anti-creationist rule of the DiFolts it is time to bring the people of Ilibauria back to the worship of the Gods as the true path to salvation and who better to do this than Barù Saulani and his Veteran Priests. However, they found that their quest is thwarted at every turn by the sly merchant marines flying the purple flag of Prince Folda. The locals are desperate for new direction as the great clean up around the temple in Skuger starts, but the merchant fuel suspicions that the Inquisition somehow conspired with Trakoria to bring doom upon the people of Ilibauria, to keep them under the yoke of the opiander drug. As the merchants also happily supply the funds for the clean up, the locals are most willing to accept their version of the events (Raise influence fail).

Ruhl

With the Inquisition, at least temporarily, the only power in Ruhl and the Fire Tongue Inquisitors still licking their wounds from their time in Palamux they will use their time training up their new recruits and keeping an eye out for any with potential amongst the human, marshfolk, and halfling population of Rulh. The Abzulva are an equal opportunity employer as long as you are capable and ruthless enough do the job they want you for. Mobilise.

Malusa

The Emperor's feast in Malusa was stained by the circumstances of the near-death of Emperor Trimelda. Although specifics are conjecture, it appears that the Emperor while enjoying the festivities began to choke. In the ensuing moments, it appears that the Emperor's retainers were able to dislodge the errant sausage blocking the Emperor's breath. It appeared that there was a contest of retainers with both the Diega Longa and Duke Kamesti's people also attempting to 'assist' the Emperor. (Attack Shadow Actor - FAIL)

”In the name of all the truffle swine grubbing in the fields of Bralorge, lie STILL! Ahem, please. If you will. Your Imperial Majesty.”

The doctor stands perched above his patient, dressed in somber robes and wearing a beaked facial mask for sampling the fumes of any unsound humors. A rag soaked in the finest licquour in his hand, dabbing nervously at many ugly wounds.

Grigor Trimelda lies sprawling over a trestle. His nether regions on display, swollen from a dozen hurried dagger stabs. The price one has to pay, for riding on parade through Malusa - apparently a den of opportunists and scum.

”You can burn it down and salt the grounds later,” he growls, while jabbing at his Knight Captain with a meaty finger. The movement causes his massive body to shudder and tremble, and make the doctor miss, again.

”Be glad the rabble couldn’t reach higher! Cut off the limp manhood of every fifth citizen and feed it to their wives, if you like, when there is time for such diversions. Now, We must deal with the building storm. You! Marquis This-or-That from Somewhere Utterly Forgettable, what news from Tricilve? Report!”

The patrician straightens and picks at his laced collar with long, pale fingers that never saw even an honest minute’s work.

”Fanfustian, by the Emperor’s grace. Fremlocke Fanfustian, pentacrate and holder of the golden babouche, sixth generation landholder under the might of opulent Tracoria and in actuality elevated to the blessed... rank of...”

Noting the darkening of his lord’s mien, Fanfustian quickly changes the subject.

”Our efforts to drum up support in Karramak have resulted in some modest success. Other than that, things look bleak for the throne. A day or three on the rack loosened the tongue of our Malusan captive, confirming that Goba and Ialsop indeed were behind the recent violation of your imperial self, Majesty. At great risk to their own interests and for a stupendous sum of coin, one might add. They must clearly be desperate to put an end to your glorious... reign.”

The merchant nobleman’s gaze flickers to the treatment process, and back.

”The very same individuals also being the only persons of note who heeded your summons to Tricilve in person. No doubt hoping to catch you there. Clever diversion, Majesty.”

”Bah,” huffs Trimelda. ”An honest test of loyalty. No trickery intended. Nevertheless, an opportunity mustn’t be wasted if it presents itself, something their own actions prove. We wouldn’t be so obdurate as to actually waste Our time by going there Ourself. It’s been a den of treachery ever since the Empress died, every other inhabitant dabbling in poison brewing and the best use of a garrotte, on the side.”

Fanfustian acknowledges this wisdom with a shallow bow, and continues:

”Interestingly enough, all efforts to increase our presence there were stifled by the Prince of Folda, a Palamuxian upstart. By direct orders, if our sources are not incorrect. This would be the same character your Imperial Majesty has received dark tidings on, no?”

”Yes. A puppet of the great deceiver. Confirmed, beyond doubt. Lines are starting to be drawn, I see. The Harridan and the Accountant Spy in cohorts. Well deserving of each other’s miserable company. Cheered on by some hare-lipped Prince of Nowhere who serves a necrophile from the frigid north.”

Growing tired of his physician’s ministrations, Trimelda stiffly rises to his feet, the court hastily averting their eyes from his royal loins.

”If Tracoria must stand alone, she will! The throne is dedicated to this pursuit, of doing the dirty laundry of all Our subjects, whether they support Us or not. Righteous and profitable deeds, however, will be richly rewarded. So make the findings of this impromptu council known, far and wide. No one has anything to gain on false smiles and double-dealings anymore, other than Our enemy.”

”I will see to make the tale told, Majesty, in excruciating detail.”

Saphyna

Ardahals

The Vortiger personally leads the Griphon Cavalry in its continued assault on the fortified city of Gaaz Ulul. It is not an easy struggle. The mountain pass is narrow, and easily defended, but as Geryon Grotteschi's merchants provide the Ransardi with detailed maps and intelligence on enemy positions from previous scouting and spying missions, the task is made much simpler. Little by little, the noose is tightening on the city (Raise Influence Success).

Korjulme

The Old Blood Nobles capitalize on recent events across Saphyna. Clearly, the Ransardi are not to be trifled with, and it is better for everyone in Korjulme if they let Geryon's noblemen deal on their behalf. The looming threat of the Ransardi navy and its tacit approval of Geryon's nobles as brokers makes this suggestion much more convincing for the locals (Raise Influence Success).

Frimboline Plains

The Vortiger sends word to his berserkers from his camp outside Gaaz Ulul: set an example on the Frimboline Plains - quell any will to rebel. The berserkers do so. They drag out all Folda's bribed nobles, using lists composed by Grotteschi's academics - very, very precise lists - and start mass executions in very public places to show just who rules in this place now (Attack Resource Success).
