After the invasion of snakeweed, the main agricultural industry relies on cattle, egg production, as well as fishing and production of asbast. Melse, in the South East is the major export point of these products. The skeck I saw was being held up by the city gate as the soldier would not allow him to bring his pet into the town. The two almost came to blows when the beast uttered a terrifying scream so that the guard grew pale and pulled back. Casimo Hruckert told me that this was a mustelon, one of the most dangerous prey of Paratorni forests. It is much like a giant ferret, which hunts alone or in packs and can become a real threat to shepherds, as it is known to kill for pleasure, not just food.
