Fall 612 After Odo

Marjura

StartFragment

Clusta Noba

As the islanders desperately engage in whatever they can do to slow the Undead, other activities are also carried out. All Inquisition Fire Tongues not on active missions are requested to join Barù Saulani in Clusta Noba to investigate the undead horde and provide aid to the survivors. They flock there by whatever means they can. Some are lost as they bravely try to make reconnaissance raids to Marjura's interior, but the knowledge those who return bring with them is invaluable (Mobilize). Likewise, the White Berets (Order of the Wolf) focus on expanding their number with those refufgees that refused to leave island, and while membership in the elite group is still as high as ever, it's small membership is now somewhat larger (Mobilize).

Trinsmyra

Rung

Limer Späde is nothing if not persistent. He harasses any and all minor nobles that the New Sphere might have missed. Him and the tattered remains of his army reminds them of their true allegiance, and way lay some of the traitors to create a warning example for others. This time, at least a few fall in line with the rebellion at last. Perhaps the tide has finally turned? (Raise Influence Success). As he beds down to enjoy the small victories of the last few days, the eerie howls of Wolven start echoing through the mountains outside Ard Gachlaf. For a week, they haunt him every night. Whispered voices speak nervously about a Blood Hunt transpiring, and how it is best not to get involved in such things. One night, the blood-curdling sounds reach a crescendo, and suddenly stop completely. In the morning, the reason is quickly realised: The torn and shredded corpse of the rebel leader, Limer Späde, is found deposited on the steps of the town hall (Assault Shadow Actor success). At the same time, Fundibéra creates illusions of beasts that are white as the moon's surface, walk like men, have moose like horns and the body and face of gorillas, as well as footprints of the beasts in the ground. The beasts let themselves be seen watching people and getting slowly closer to the populated areas of rung. Many soon draw the erroneous conclusion that the witch killed Limer Späde and pledge her allegiance to avoid suffering his fate (Raise Influence success).

Milacke

Kaldor sends some of his most ambitious captains to carve out a domain in the dock yards. They seek out any remnants of the Whig Makers, and aggressively cut into the black market by raiding the ships working for their competitors (Raise Influence Success). As they do, moon cultists set up shop they mention that they are there to speak of a possible threat to Milacke, but they need time and information from Rung before they say anything conclusive. The people of Milacke are less than impressed. There are so many religious fanatics out there nowadays...(Raise Influence Fail).

Kark To gain the Freedom Fighters more experience, the Comodore personally leads them in training. He takes them in ships and performs ship-to-ship wargames and amphibious assaults against the beaches of some uninhabited islands (Mobilize).

Nastrôl

The once peaceful group of townsfolk from The Frimboline Plains, take turns each confusing and defeating the wild, captive Raha inside a small dungeon under HOXOH. The failure of such a grade constitutes of the illusionist going mad from the insidious venom. Upon completion, a giant celebration lasting for a week was held in honor before each were sent back tpntheir respective lands with the knowledge, and power, to defeat many of the known dangers walking, lurking, or flying about their homeland (Mobilize). Meanwhile, the changing fortunes of Fontra Cilor cause Old Blood nobles flock to the banner of Grotteschi. They have started frequenting one particular brothel more than others and turned it into a place for political agitation (Mobilize).

Moskoria

Spurred on by the neo-Klavykian movement, academics native to Palamux, and mostly Moskoria in particular, invest in new research programs to verify and prove the pure bloodline and claims of the Prince of Folda, as well as present evidence that the Vox Ranzina in fact proves that the Klavykian Empire is destined to rise again (Mobilize).

Lasemos-Bhannavil

A red mist overtook the city of Kharasma, the stench of blood drowning the nostril and activating the gag reflex. Sentient serpents of mist weave their way through the air, tagging themselves to the sides of the wooden siege weapons of the Galdian siege troops. Wherever the red mist lays its mark, the wood glows a dark red, and a subtle tremor can be felt by anyone grasping the beams. The siege teams laid themselves prostrate, praising and thanking their demon lord for his gifts. Eventually the mists evaporate, and the siege teams give their machines a test.

Woe be to the enemies of Gaddagormgald, for the first shot fired did level a mountain (Mobilize).

The Kishat

The ever-growing influence of the illusionists emboldened some anti-creationists in Maghurbal to openly denounce the clergy of Shamash. These demonstrations did not go unnoticed; any rioters received no mercy from the Ransardian raiders, who made sure their victims were easily noticed, aided by the diligent work of their allies among the PurPurian Worshippers. Declaring that the Vox Ranzina foretold the rise of the righteous worshippers of Shamash, the people of the Kishat rejoiced in the death of the anti-creationists, and those that remained soon fled out of fear for their lives (Raise Influence Success). The opening of trade through the water ways of Fontra Cilor allows merchants loyal to the Manticore to access the city from as far away as the Kishat. They immediately use their newfound profits to expand their trade network (Mobilize).

"I don't see how a puny human can rule us. I feel deceit and trickery will follow you wherever yoy go. I challenge you puny human. Be the face of defeat that my enemies will see foreve- welcome Grand Syntald! Please! Please! Sit, enjoy! I'll help to protect you every step if the way!" The man faces the crowd on onlookers, grunts loudly and posing dramatically, " The Grand Syntald Edwyl Hussler! Our friend and leader! Those who stand against shall feel our wrath!" Suddenly the group swelled encompassing most of the town square, with more and more onlookers pushing through the group to stand in unity behind Bob, the terror and nemesis of the Scribe Jhavva and his wife Khareesa, the best breadmaker on the continent. The movement spreads across the continent. Mercenaries from the Kishat and Gaddagormgald's navy tries to stop it and bring order, but they fail (Raise Influence Success).

Ruhl

Gomba sweeps down from Hiltre, leading his mercenaries himself. Local villagers in the southern part of the province have been complaining about orc raids from the mountains, and he is there to keep them safe. At least, that's what he says. Supporting him is troops from Trimelda's retinue. Knight-Captain Pfordian Sopp finds himself ordered to primitive Ruhl, this season. Out of boredom, he inspects the local population of noble youngsters, in case any squire prospects might be hiding among them. He finds them lacking, so tries to pick a fight with the local traders, but they offer so little sport! Many epheremal, whining poems are written in desperation (Raise Influence success). Gomba feels very pleased with the easy successes. The locals of Ruhl are well-versed in the strange wares of the marshfolk merchants, but foreigners are not quite so knowledgeable, nor are they inclined to listen to the warnings of lesser beings. A passel of mushrooms and herbs makes their way into Gomba's personal chef's hands, mistaken for delicacies instead of powerful hallucinogens. They are unfortunately served at a dinner party, and a terrifying bloodbath ensues, with guests drawing blades against phantom monsters created by their own minds. Few are left alive, and all are injured. Gomba himself is found among the dead (Attack Shadow Power success).

Paraltro

Tricilve

Tricilve citizenry weren't entirely comfortable with the prophetic insights of the Innocentians, but the potion makers are much easier to swallow. Shops are eager to carry their wares, cafes serve recreational fare, and almost overnight it seems like everyone has a favorite brew that they want to share with their friends. Conservative merchants try their best to put a stop to this wild mercantilism by petitioning for regulated trade. All will gain by fair exchange, they claim, and only those supported by a legitimate blue-blooded mecenate can even be considered to be dealing fairly. The commoners counter by invoking Kastyke, and apparently they were able to hire the best law twister (Raise Influence success).

Hiltre & Hoeja

No news.

Malusa

The theatre is nearly complete! The acting troupe stages impromptu skits on the last of the scaffolding, adding acrobats and daredevils to their performances to draw large audiences that clog the streets. Bets are made as to what will be the first show (Mobilize).

New Mark

The smugglers see the dangers of the competition from legitimate business owners posed by Ialsop's fortune, and start working hard to undermine it. Whatever Ialsop invests in, and whatever products he tries to sell, they do it cheaper in alley ways and backyards. Meanwhile, the scant countryside of New Mark is seeing some tribulation as Duellants still prance about, making challenges and inducting those who make an effort of standing up for their pride, but there is also some back-alley fighting, as very free traders join in for pokes and prickings against those who pray on the superstitious masses. Ialsop loses a lot of money both due to the black market work and betting on the wrong fighters in the back alley duels (Attack Resource Success). However thier efforts are not as successful as they might have hoped with Kamesti's merchants managing to salvage a few reasonable deals to stem the tide of losses suffered (Mobilize).

Bralorge

No news.

Bretalva

Mistress Oliphantine Bray continues to build her slave trade in Bretalva, this season, by ordering a "hands-on" approach to slave sustenance. Locals are forced to offer up food and, "entertainment", to her stables. Oil is handed out, salves proscribed and exercises demanded for vigor and finger dexterity among the slave servant population - an action which in turn makes queues form up outside the town's voluntary enslavement booths.(Mobilize).

Karramak

Gomba's conservative nobles approach the court of the ailing Duke. Many of the lesser nobles are impressed by what they see, and choose to align themselves with the old blood nobles, rather than the New Sphere upstarts (Mobilize). However, just as they do, Iaslop returns to speak with his former New Sphere member, the Duke's Daughter. Protected by a battle-hardened army of Condottiaries fresh from Clusta Noba, the fame of their exploits is more than sufficient to quell the former Empress' nephew and consort to the young heir to the Duchy from doing anything too stupid. Assisted by agents of the Digeta Longa, the political upheaval of cause by the blatant housecleaning by the now-decease Empress is functionally undone and the Duke's daughter restored to functional and practical rulership of her father's fief rather than the hollow shell left in the vacuum after the Empress' disappearance in Kamest over a year ago. By season-end, the ailing Duke finally passes away, and the Order of the New Sphere is firmly in control of Karramak and the agents of the traditionalists are essentially powerless in the province (Raise Influence Success).
