Nastrôl
Nastrôl was quite the contrast to Fontra Cilor. It is a land of faith. For seven centuries, these lands have guarded Moskoria from the blue-painted barbarians of Kargom. Four ancient monastic orders rule the lands, committed to this duty. The greatest is the Felike Order. These monks hold cats to be the highest of all animals and study and emulate their ways. Both Baldyr and me found it amusing to see elders bow deeply for stray cats, and so we had to move on as our smirks were not appreciated.
We turned north, as we absolutely wanted to see the Eniak, a giant hedge planted to stop foreign invasions. Our guide, a local monk, told us that it is not actually a normal bush, but rather a fungus, stretching from the ocean in the East to the Kargom Wall in the West. It is very dangerous to approach it too closely, as it shoots its spores at such a high velocity that they tear a hapless human to shreds. Only the monks of Faa know how to use their songs to tend the fungus so it neither dies nor spreads across the island. We stayed several hundred steps away from it, but could still see how it made such a formidable barrier.
