Winter 612 After Odo

Marjura

Clusta Noba

Iaslop and his armed forces set to work with a dregging system to keep the undead at bay. He has agreed to take all the refugees with him when the weather turns. While he'd like to maintain some form of relationship with those that remain the religious differences may serve to undermine that goal (Raise Influence Success).EndFragment

Rung

StartFragmentThe political opposition to the Empress and Her recent bloodbaths, when coupled with the news that the Empress threatened both Duke Kamesti and the DiFolt with death set the groundwork to get Rungli accept the relative civil war within the Empire at face value. By the logic that my enemy's enemy is my ally of convenience, the Eelskull warlords decide to enter into a Devil's deal with the Digeta Longa when a delegation of the top agents of the Secret service, land near Ard Gachlaf, carried by pirate ships and carrying as much gold as Ialsop da Kamesti to put into the ship's holds s (Raise Influence Success).

Milacke

EndFragment

Limer Späde himself leads the peasant mob throughout Milacke, killing any Trakorian loyalists as he goes. Finally, he leads them in a desperate attempt to sack Rakma. But it's a trap. The Digeta Longa's lyal informers have given the Milacki rebels false information, and as the peasant mob rushes towards the city, it discovers that the gates are not open, as promised. Savaged by a hail of arrows and Krakalgus Pikenose's cavalry, they withdraw to the mountains to fight another day.

Kark

The Milacki nobles in the Kark countryside are inspired by Späde's rebellion. Is this finally the time when they can regain independence? They travel all across rural areas, recruiting all young hotspur nobles they can find. Many express their enthusiasm and join their ranks (Mobilize). As they do, the privateer commanders of Commodore Kaldor starts playing one group of young, hotspur nobles against another by shady deals and bribery. He succeeds beyond measure, as evident when what would have been a small brawl between rivaling nobles at a banquet turns into a major massacre, cutting down many of the young nobles (Attack Resource Success).

Kargom

The remaining mercenaries arrive in Kargom, loudly spreading the tale about how the people of Nastrol have stolen their riches and betrayed them, followed by laughter at the naivity of these soft townfolks in believing that they had the strength to prevent vengeance. The mercenaries set up a training camp and begin drilling in what are obviously techniques to siege a city. Any able bodied barbarian is made welcome to join in and share in the spoils of assaulting Nastrol. They jump at the chance of getting around the Eniak (Mobilize).

StartFragmentMeanwhile, the Chronolab maintanance crew sweeps the old religion out of Kargom with a new awakening, carefully designed through the purple colour, tying the cannibals ever so close to the world of Science and the purpur colour (Raise influence Success).EndFragment

Nastrôl

"I look for HOXOH, I cannot find it. Can you help me? And no it isn't down that way, I've already been down there three times." "Dunno what to tell you man. It really is down there." The aggravated man throws his hands up in exasperation. And not being able to discern if the passerby was indeed telling the truth and he simply had missed it 3 times, he turns back, hoping against hope, that he missed the entrance....again. He hangs his head in despair. Then he looks up to see two groups of hooded figures ahead of him. He watches curiously as they stand, perhaps 50 Meters ahead of him facing the opposite group. Suddenly, astonishingly, the first of the group runs full out across the road and jumped headfirst into (and through!) the wall. Followed by another and yet another past. One by one, the first group follows suit each putting on a burst of speed and slamming headfirst through the unseen portal. As the last of the first went to go through, he was stopped by the first of the second group, and waited until the second group went through. All of them made it, save the last of the first group, who merely shook his head muttering. He turns and looks back at the wall one last time, shakes his head then rounds the bend. The stupified onlooker races after the muttering figure, determined to catch up. As he bolts around the corner, his determined look melts into confusion as no one is there. Seeing the only option left, he races back to the required spot. He sets himself in the same manner. Allowing himself a few deep breath to stead his nerves, he bolts head on to the same wall. At the last moment he leaps forward in the same manner as those previous him. A huge explosion rocks him on the head, as he falls limply to the ground, a rupture of laughter follows him into the realm of darkness. "You missed!" (Mobilize)..

Moskoria

"What the hell was that?" The captain asked one of the few remaining patrol-men. "An experiment gone wrong? I have no clue. It went through 10 of us like nothing, made us look like sock puppets. One scratch and he was done. Looks like it's having a grand old time in the water though. What should we say?" "Nothing? I happen like my job." "We have a few men left sir. We say nothing and those words will greet us before we get back." "Who cares? Military men gossip worse than a bunch of old women. It'll pass off as another story of who can tell the biggest BS story out there. They didn't get enough water. It's good enough for my report." "There's three more coming." "Then we're leaving... NOW!" (Mobilize).

Lasemos-Bhannavil

A heavy storm strikes the estates of those loyal to Hussler, spooking the horses into a panic and ravaging light structures. The winds tear down his banners and burst through doors and windows to wreak havoc while lightning strikes spark fires, but the people of Lasemos are not cowed by the ragining storms of Pazuz (Raise Influence fail).

As the storm raged, Sambarsynd Coria had finally managed to track down the anti-Creationist cell. Making the cultists disperse was easy enough, and now he held the tome in his hand. This was the key he needed to turn the tide against the Illusionist Hussler before it was too late. He made sure his servant would leave him alone for the night, locked the doors to his chambers, and started the work. The tome opened, and he read line after line. It was fascinating, titillating, revealing mysteries he had never imagined before. As leaf followed leaf, he forgot about his surroundings, and about time. Only when his candle went out did he start, and realized all was dark around him, above him, under him....just darkness, a void. When his servant finally managed to get the door open in the morning, there was no sign of Sambarsynd Coria or the tome (Attack Actor Success).

When the storm abated, a group of merchant ships carrying the representatives of Enji's Trade Emporium anchor up in Maravelda. It is the first major trade delegation that Lasemos has seen in living memory, and the merchants find it easy to establish a trading post and network with local farmers and authorities (Raise Influence success)

The Kishat

There seems to be even more dust devils moving through the alleyways and lanes of the Kishat, lately, as if more of nature is gaining purpose under the Eternal's guidance (Mobilize). As the winds sweep cautiously through alleys and backyards, the faithful are encouraged to enjoy their peace by the joys and satisfactions that come from honest labour. Truly, there is no greater celebration of peace than the construction of monuments to defend that peace. The city deserves a great flagship - a symbol of their strength and will - to stand against the evils of HOXOH that surround them. And of course, it is only natural that any who do not volunteer to assist this city project sympathize with the illusionists and must be persecuted as heretics. The Ransardian Raiders enforce these "volunteer" work shifts - after all, it is they who will have custody of this warship upon completion (Mobilize).

Ziddisbar

Pazuzu patrols the territory, and decides upon Hussler's agents. At night, Pazuzu's winds and rain ensure no friend of Hussler has a fire or a good night's rest. The apostles, also join forces with the Worshipers of the PurPura and fan out through the region. With the guidance of their patron, the apostles find those afflicted with mind control magic to help them recover. The victim's recoveries are made more relaxed by the weather always being exactly what they need. Light rains water gardens and crops while a warm breeze might tend to the clothes on a line. And through it all, heavier rain manages to keep the animals watered without ever making a fuss. The apostles do their best to counsel the victims, and help them find their way back to normal life. All seems to be going well, but they had not counted with the First Imperial Lancers, who sweep in on the "rehabilitation temples" and accuse those involved with treasonous activity and being Shagulites in hiding. Several are arrested. Others scatter across the province (Attack Resource Fail).

Ruhl

New opportunities have opened up after last season's power grab. The traders use these to quickly move to expand their network of contacts and allies. They establish a guild charter which leads to more people joining them (Mobilize). Likewise, Trimelda's courtiers arrange a full week of feasting for everyone in the province.Through these feasts, they identify the like minded and recruit them to the conservative cause (Mobilize). Done with their good deeds in Paraltro, the DiFolt potion makers return to Ruhl to continue their peaceful teachings, just as the week of feasting ends. The sudden change in power holders has led to a great deal of confusion, and the people rally around the potion maker, creating a new structure of local community decision-making, parallel to the old one, semi-autonomous enclaves with wise teachers at the center (Raise Influence Success).

Paraltro

Returning home after the plague subsided, the nobles who had fled to Ruhl decide to celebrate the end of the pestilence times with a great tournament, inviting all the greatest knights of the land. Not surprisingly, Grigor Trimelda's knights heed the call as one, eager to show their prowess to the people. What they do not know is that their wine for the day gets spiked with some interesting stimulants. The result is terror on the field, as drug fueled fighters enter a berserker rage. Scores of men-at-arms and noble knights die in the ensuing riot (Attack Resource Success). Those who remain are too few to enforce the new edicts from Tricilve effectively ( Raise Influence fail).

Tricilve

EndFragment

The new peace in Tricilve allows many political actors to gain their footing again. As the organized crime has been defeated, many lesser nobles now join the conservative cause (Mobilize Heneguya’s Slave Traders finally make their rest in Tricilve, where they can invest the w(alth and knowledge from their trip abroad, They accentuate the sales of their foreign slaves with great tales of bravery, savagery, and heroism. After selling their foreign product, the Slave Traders then raided the supply of Ingolmo’s vagrants, still locked away in the prisons of Tricilve. Loaded with cash and fresh slaves, the Slave Traders partied the months away in the Fashion Centre of Tricilve (Mobilize). Meanwhile, n the temple district, the Innocentian's charity works continue. While this is seen as an almost heathen and blasphemous preoccupation by Kastyke's faithful, all supplicants and ill are treated to a sermon on the prophecies of the Innocent One, and given advice on how to endure their suffering in such a way that they gain strength. There are many downtrodden who harken to their voices in the underbelly of the capital (Mobilize).

Hiltre & Hoeja

Gomba himself leads his men-at-arms, chasing down the ambitious heirs who so naively sought refuge in his demesne. Every single one is killed or thrown in an oubliette for high treason. They were planning something, and they choked on their ambition (Attack resource).

Malusa

The acting troupe announces an ambitious project: the acts of its latest project will be played throughout the city, the times and places announced a short time before it is to occur. The acts contained enticing and mysterious elements which grip the populace. Chaos and confusion provide a perfect cover as innocent folk gather and disperse spontaneously. The Empress' bodyguards are unequipped to deal with the constant unpredictability, and when the Empress herself decides to attend a play at short notice, they get separated from the rest of her retinue. That's when powerful allies in Duke da Kamesti's employ sweep in and attack her. Many significant courtiers are left in their own pools of blood on the floor, and by the time the bodyguards finally manage to fight their way to the group, the queen is nowhere to be found. Most believe she was pushed off the bridge and dragged down to a watery death in Coimatru river (Attack Shadow Actor Success).

New Mark

The Kastyki Priests continue to upgrade their Kastyki temple in New Mark, and they invite many religious patrons from all over the world to share in their version of the teachings of Kastyke and the Pantheon. Religious scholars from all over the world gather at the temple. Some are swayed by the teachings of the Kastyki Priests, others are not. But what was agreed on by all was that the Order of the New Sphere was a sacrilegious and damnable entity. Donations flowed in from all over Trakoria, and the Kastyki Priests praised Kastyke and the Empress for the favours that had been blessed upon them (Mobilize)

Bralorge

Trimelda himself leads his merchants throughout the province. Together, they bribe, cajole and otherwise monopolize the trade in the province, until Trimelda owns or controls its economy (Raise Influence Success).

Bretalva

EndFragment

The smugglers keep working on gathering resources that they can use quickly in times of need: boats, hidey holes, bribed officials, and so on (Mobilize).

Heneguya's Mercenaries organize a great fighting tournament in Grumm, offering any warrior who won in their tier of the tournament a position in the ranks of the mercenaries. The tournament ran for a month, with thousands enlisting from all around Bretalva. The fighting was brutal, and to the death, but eventually an extremely strong few stood out from among the rest. Among them was Yrigg Hjalmar, an amazingly strong, stout and lawful man with a strong will and a wicked hammer. So capable was Hjalmar in battle, that Hjalmar was raised to the position of second-in-command of the Mercenary corp, with only a minimal amount of grumbling from the entrenched members. Shortly after, the leader of the Mercenaries died, supposedly of alcohol poisoning, and Yrigg Hjalmar was named the new leader. With many new strong warriors now serving under him, Hjalmar’s Mercenaries reaffirmed and swore their fealty to the Empress and to Trakoria (Mobilize).

Karramak

Reports came in to the daughter of the Duke of Karramak that a population of Skecks had begun cannibalising upon the human residents of Moherra. Agents of the Empire offered to help, and with the Duke’s funding they began to sweep Moherra and the Kryffer forest, killing Skecks as they moved along. When the Skeck population was brought to heel and the people of Karramak felt safe, the Imperial Agents withdrew. At the behest of the young stand-in-duchess, the Imperial Agents were encouraged to keep the gold and the forces that they used in the Skeck purge. It is uncertain whether the original reports of Skeck cannibalism were true What was certain was that a great number of people benefited from the massacre, and that the Skeck people would bear the scars of this attack for generations (Mobilize)

Frimboline Plains

"Halt!" She yelled as loudly as she dared. The boy, a few meters from the beast. The boy, ever inquisitive, stopped moving. Suddenly the beast, with its two heads and spiny body, didn't look so innocent. With one set of eyes a crimson red, the low growl the emanated from the belly of the beast, sounding more like a gutteral whine then an actual growl, let the boy know of his impending doom. It sprang forward, taloned feet ripping out clumps of dirt with each stride. The boy cried out in fear, cowering as low as he could. The beast was fast. less than a half a meter and the beast leapt in for the killing blow. Only to fly - straight up! It was as if a gust of wind blew it into the air. A man, who was not there previously, was suddenly in front of the boy, using his body to shield the boy. With his staff, the mans reach was farther than the beast, which landed heavily on the ground a meter away. Quickly, it recovered, trying to assess this new danger. It sprang again, determined to get a quick meal. It swiped its way through the man, who appeared on the back side of it. The man used his staff to dig in under it, and propel it upwards and away from the boy again. The man set himself again. Ready to defend the boy as the beast landed. The beast had seen enough though, and limped away as quickly as its legs could take it. "What was that?" The townsfolk quickly rallying around the three individuals. "It was a RaHa," The woman replied, removing her cowl and shaking her hair free, "Incredibly dangerous during the day, and even scarier at night. Each head is capable of independant thought, and every single edge on that beast is coated with an insidious poison that drives people to madness. The only thing that confuses it is what is not there." She dismissed her illusory warrior," Never have I seen one outside of HOXOH. This is most disturbing. I am Gianna, undergraduate from HOXOH, and traveller to the wide world to see new sights, and meet new people. My master the Grand Syntald Edwyl Hussler, who is also my mentor, has instructed me on how to battle these creatures, if you would like I could teach some of you on how to defend it without casualties." (Mobilize).
