Wealth begets wealth being a major tenent of the Church, and da Kamesti is a faithful servant of Kastyke, as shown by the successful investments in Karramak.

Paraltro

The fashion for medical salons began with Lady P_____, who gathered her closest friends and confidants (and enemies, naturally) to witness the medical genius of her personal physician, trained by the DiFolts. He was quite the charmer, smiling at the ladies and winking at the men as he cheerfully poked, prodded, assessed and diagnosed all gathered. Restorative tonics and hor d’oeuvres sprinkled with rejuvenating herbs were served. Everyone left feeling energized. The trend soon spread like wildfire, with nobles scrambling to acquire DiFolt trained physicians and potionmakers to showcase at the salons. Charity medical theatres are set up in conjunction with the popular drug cafes for those who cannot afford their own physician.

Digeta Longa messengers go far and wide at a higher-than-normal rate, but little other movement is noticed.

da Kamesti diverts some of his profits to recruiting more condottieri.

Ruhl

Research in potion making continues, with a new twist. Those who volunteer for the most dangerous trials are offered the chance to have their children apprenticed to the potion makers should the unthinkable happen and the potions prove less effective than hoped for. The comfort of knowing the next generation will be well-trained and well-cared for is no doubt a comfort. Scholarships and internships are offered to those who are not fortunate enough to still have living parents to make these choices for them. Gratitude and loyalty are key factors in whether a child receives a scholarship. Halflings and Marsh people are very proud when their offspring gain this opportunity.

Ilibauria

The data continues to come pouring in from Ruhl and Paraltro. The ease of access to medical care, especially by the desperate whose death were all but expected anyway, is yielding new knowledge every day. And, if nothing else, at least the suffering of the living will cleanse their souls for the afterlife.

Palamux

Moskoria

Squalls push inland from the coastline of Moskoria, reaching towards the ruins of Folda. The storm on the sea grows stronger every time the winds reach the ruins.

Ziddisbar

The Apostles of the Wind wander Ziddisbar and add to their numbers from the dispossessed, the outcasts, and the downtrodden.

The Kishate

The whispering winds do not abate their campaign, turning the mob against the priests of the Crystalocrat. We have no need of priests, every man can see the truth. Drive them from our holy city. There is much confusion among the people, but for now, there are enough among the faithful and so the priests of Shamash can keep working.

Nastrol

The Grand Syntald Hussler holds a speech.

"Narstol Citizens, I assure you, the fact that troop of Kishate were defeated on our side of the city, is true. There is indeed a real threat and, had it not been for the ever vigilant eyes of our great city, it could have been catastrophic. As far as we know, this is an isolated attack and we are still in the process of protecting those outside our city. But that does not mean we can be complacent as this well shows. Should we allow these threats to continue to dampen our spirit? Nay. Should we rise up to the challenge to defeat these vile creatures in their lands? Though seeing this great city come together in unison would allow me to burst with pride, I would say no, for the cost would be too great. And seeing many of our kinsman fall would do the exact opposite. But think they will walk in to our city unopposed? My answer sings with yours. A defeaning no would reverberate through these streets. As I speak now, I have opened our doors and arranged for one of us to be included in the patrols at all times. 'Fellow citizens, while this is not a call to war, join me now. Help me keep a watchful eye on our greatest of treasures in our very city. Regardless if those treasures are our families, a priceless artifact, or the very clothes in our back, I ask that we keep our eyes watchful, our ears open, and ourselves ready to mobilize should the need arise.' At the same time, a message arrives to a group of half starved militants, bespeaking of an abundance of food in an under-populated village in Moskoria ripe for plundering. Words, whether in truth or not, give way to rumbling stomachs and a promise of good eats for at least a little while. As one, the people join Hussler.

Meanwhile, the Prince of Folda keeps spreading his wealth around, bribing more nobles.

Moskoria

StartFragmentNobles in Moskoria notice Edwyl Hussler and an assistant from HOXOH approach a few older locals claiming that the soiled ground could be treated and that he had the means to do so. It was monumental for the nobles to be able to dream of a once more abundant Moscoria. When asked for proof, Edwyl's assistant produces a box full of salinated soil, in his other hand deuces a bucket of clear liquid. The nobles watch on as the contaminated soil gets cleansed. Unknown to The Observer, the soil that was once rich in salt is now usable. Hussler, motions emphatically for the assistant to continue. The assistant complies and further advises the noble to 'plant something in the box and see if it grows. If it did, then the noble would know that soil once again usable and can be return to the land of rich vegetation'. He continues on stating, 'this is only a small box of contaminated soil and it would cost many resources to get Moskoria back to its original form. But this mr. Hussler would freely grant in exchange for the your help to complete his dream of a rich and prosperous Moskoria.' One of the nobles snarls "I have heard of the people of HOXOH. Liars, thieves and cheats, the lot of them!. He lashes out in anger against Hussler, but his blade cleaves nothing but air. It was all an illusion.EndFragment

Lasemos-Bhannavil

This province experiences turmoil during the quarter. First, a political takeover ensues as the Admirata's political connections wreak havoc and try to steal power in the political system. It nearly succeeds, but then local nobles ride in with their armies to restore order. The Admirata's connections remain, however, as everybody starts pointing fingers at each other.

In this chaos, the academics of Maravelda try their best to use the knowledge from the tomes provided by Edwyl Hussler in Narstol contained for the improvement of administration and peace, and thus increase commerce and trade for Lasemos. However, they are disappointed, as the local nobles care little for booklearning, and the Academy of Maravelda remains largely ignored.
